#Abstract
The transformations that took place in society after the emergence of the Information Revolution on the last third of the twentieth century - whether on an economical, organizational, social or mental level - have led to changes in culture and work methodology, in the access to knowledge and leisure, which are prime subjects of reflection in this paper. If the interactive systems of communication enable the tearing down of barriers in what concerns access to information, will the latter on its own lead to an access to knowledge? This sort of reasoning is the central axis of this work, given that the Information Revolution has only taken place because a previous one substantiated it: the Digital Revolution. The paradigm shift undertook during the passage from the atomic to the digital imperatively needs a second restructuring of information so as to create and spread knowledge. This “new type” of information – deep and qualitative – is analyzed on this work, through the devising of a concept network, a necessary value for the sustaining of the new Knowledge Society.
