Uma filosofia do amor na poesia de Eugénio Tavares

AbstractThis study presents a reflection on the loving philosophy present in the poetry of Eugénio Tavares. Eminent poet, writer, journalist and composer, Eugénio Tavares (1867-1930) was born in Brava Island, Cape Verde. Poet of love and expressed in its bilingualism, Eugénio Tavares heard by an unusual versatility, recognize the value of the Cape Verdean language and the language of Camões in the formation of literary culture and socio-cultural imaginary Cape Verdean .The Wisdom Love led then our poet to find alternative ways; paths that cried out Verdeanness always looking for this adventure of the human experience of sense. And it is to that extent that we intend, in this essay, inquire about the philosophical dimension of love in the poetry of Eugénio Tavares, aware that the great work that is his poetry is measured by the greatness and temporal permanence of their questions: great poetry transports always a philosophical dimension, since, despite the uniqueness of each poet and worlds that creates, includes universal nature of questions.
