#Abstract
The museum collections are formed by a variety of objects and materials that were acquired over time due to its historical, artistic or cultural importance to a particular community or social group. Thus, theoretically, to visit the reserva técnica of museums should find plastic objects in their collections. But why, many times, when interviewing curators, conservators or officials responsible for collections on the existence of these objects, even in historical and ethnological museums, received a negative response? Considering this problem, we conducted pioneering research in the country that will serve as reference for the drafting of management of these collections.
