#Abstract
Risk management has become a matter of great importance in different ways, and it is through identifying and managing potential risks to the business establishment, finance and other areas has reduced the impact caused by loss of tangible and intangible possessions of the institutions . In the museums has not been different. The managers have become increasingly concerned with the safeguarding of the collections and the possibility of identifying risk factors to manage them in the short, medium and long term gave rise to various types of Management Programs for the conservation of museum collections that come being developed by researchers since the 90s of the twentieth century. This paper present the investigation conducted in Museu Regional de Caeté – Minas Gerais – Brasil.
