#Abstract
In this paper we will analyse the importance of documentation in the preservation of Alberto Carneiro’s ephemeral art. These works are built with natural raw materials, with a large number of elements that are distributed throughout the exhibition space and in which intangible aspects as the spatial distribution and the relation with the space are fundamental. We will examine the strategies adopted in the case of Árvore jogo lúdico em sete imagens espelhadas (1973-75), particularly the creation of new documentation fields, the use of multimedia records and of a digital dossier that groups and makes flexible all the information.
