#Abstract
The term “loom weights” refers to different objects, which are usually associated to weaving. They are shown in some museums in Portugal, being sometimes related to a vertical loom reconstruction. However, considering the fact that that the way these weights were hung in the loom is still unknown, as is the reason for their morphology variation or even the relation to weaving, they should be more deeply questioned or investigated. Following this idea, we question how these weights, found in archaeological sites, are shown. So, in this poster we will give some examples of reconstructions of weights and vertical looms, focusing on how both of them are shown and explained to the public. How do you show and share something of which not all is certain, but whose familiarity is appealing?
