#Abstract
The proliferation of “Quarters of Museums” in the western cities is it has turned into a global phenomenon that spreads over the world geography, this type of “cultural areas” unites big economic investments and projects the city that creates them in cultural and tourist modality. About all the impact is known in the urban, economic and social regeneration of this phenomenon. This communication tries to analyze the causes and effects of these “cultural areas” from his influence in the economy, the tourism and the international image of the city. Two practical cases are analyzed also in Spain; Madrid (with the Walk of the Art) and Granada with the creation of the Museum of the Memory of Andalusia Along with The Park of of the Sciences. Establishing measurable and adaptable scales to the different urban ambiences.
