#Abstract
Tarrafal’s region is one of the favourite tourist place in Cape Verde Islands. However, the negative image of the place is linked with the presence from 1936 to 1974 of a Concentration Camp built in the village of Chão Bom. Despite everything, the exploitation of this prison can be an opportunity to improve the image of the region and promote its international profile. By the Resolution 33/2006, the field was considered National Treasures and October 29, the day of anti-fascist resistance. But, what is the role that the museum can have in developing tourism in this region? How people feel the relationship with the field and its history? What are the strategies of development?
