#Abstract
Looking out to the evolution and context of the medical museums as an enabler for enhancing the study of their objects and focusing on the particularity of the project Museu do Centro Hospitalar do Porto (MCHP), we will reflect on the current medical museology. Starting from a theorical study of the MCHP heritage, we developed an analytical model that may not only materializes its role in health care sciences development but also map out its contribution to a global society. From the results collected, a new sorting model applicable to medical objects and their complexity is derived.
