#Abstract
This work seeks to emphasize the significant role played by pamphlet literature produced during the Portuguese and Catalan revolts in D. Francisco Manuel de Melo’s work, as well as how it influenced his contemporaries. Attention is drawn to the fact that D. Francisco not only took part in the production of this written propaganda during the Portuguese Restoration, but was also a reader who made use this type of text when he wrote his History of the Wars in Catalonia.
