#Abstract
This article attempts to show the importance of the history of language in the training of the teachers of the mother tongue. A pedagogical practice is described which is not limited to the phenomena of evolution traditionally considered aas historical, but which has as its starting point a profound knowledge of the phenomena of linguistic variation.
