#Abstract
Camões was most certainly an important area of research for Carolina Michaelis; this is hardly surprising when we take into account her great fondness for the verses of this poet. This article attempts principally to examine the most important ideas to be found in some of Carolina Michaelis' studies, calling attention to the role which she plays in transmitting a more reliable editorial image of Camões, the lyrical poet, thus beginning the modern phase in the history of studies of Camões.
