#Abstract
This paper analyzes the main features of the cosmogonist thought of Ancient Egypt. We begin with an overview of some features of the Egyptian worldview, followed by the definition of the symbolic language which is specifically related with the creation of the world. We conclude by presenting the key aspects of the cosmogonist traditions of Hermoupolis, Heliopolis, Memphis and other Egyptian cult centres.
