#Abstract
This text reflects about the changes provoked by Internet in Public Library Services and the importance of Web sites for the accomplishment of its goals and missions in the context of the new informational environment. The results of a research conducted in 2002 on the subject of Portuguese and Spanish public library Web sites are briefly related.
