#Abstract
The object of the present study focused on the completion of the inventory of the museum collection of the Museu Ibérico da Máscara e do Traje, in Bragança (MIMT). For research, it was felt pertinent to study the historical museum, to the function and objectives proposed by the institution and museum procedures observed. MIMT emerged in 2007 through a European Community program, which aimed to unite the traditions of Spain and Portugal, including the Winter Parties. Its mission is to revitalize and promote the culture of the north-eastern area and the region of Zamora, and also captivate new public. The work began by contextualizing the mask and its history as part of the winter parties; we analyzed the collection of the same, as your space. In the last section we defined proposals for best practice adapted to the characteristics of museum, highlighting strengths that can be as new challenges.
