	Abstract This paper aims to explore and reflect on the practices and policies in Preventive Conservation developed in English Heritage, focusing on their work dynamics. This analysis is based on the experience acquired during a traineeship period in the Collections Conservation Team, whose ultimate goal is the maintenance and preservation of the heritage under the responsibility of English Heritage. During the course of the referred internship, it was possible to understand the ways in which this team works, and what’s intended here is to present a management model that can be useful for the portuguese institutions who are also in charge of heritage protection.
