A poética do colecionador : um caso de estudo
Teresa Pinhal
File (.pdf)
AbstractThis article discusses some of the questions related to the practice of collecting and how it interacts with and reflects in the inner world of the collector, using a case study. The collectors are lovers of the visible in their hands and of the invisible in their hearts. José Régio was one of them, assuming himself as a passionate collector. This passion became an obsession and the result of this was a large collection. His objects have filled several rooms of his two houses. The practice of collecting was a continuous poetic, methodical, fetishistic and tormented process, for someone who insisted on conjugating the verb “to collect” in the unreal unconditional infinitive mode. And at the end of the journey, his inner world is narrated, curiously, by his silent pieces.
