Museus universitários em rede : do ethos de saberes ao habitus de compartilhar conhecimento com a sociedade
Jeniffer Cuty
File (.pdf)
AbstractThis article stems from a research on the collections of the museums from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, with a view to identifying the specificities of each museological institution created in the FURGS and its effective relationship with society. The field methodology adopted is qualitative, characteristic of the surveys on collective memory and urban-social imaginarium, approaching to the concepts of academic ethos and habitus of Pierre Bourdieu. As corpus of analysis, three museal spaces are used in three areas with different topics, typologies of collections and curatorial purposes, even though they are institutions that solidarily combine scientificdocumentary, educational and cultural functions of the University with the seal of the museal action, that is to say, the principles of integration with the society that receives and produces them. As pointed out by Professor Ulpiano Bezerra de Menezes from the USP, “…a museum for the University is not enough, a museum created by the University encompassing the whole society is needed”. The research is based on this line of analysis trying to identify the spaces and the moments in which that potential has taken place, in order to socialize immediately and effectively the knowledge produced, specially as regards academic extension and research. Key words: University museums. Museum network. Social museology. Porto Alegre. Collective memory. Urban-social imaginarium.
