#Abstract
To conceive a museum effectively inserted in the social fabric implies to acknowledge the legitimacy of dealing with prominent political issues. From the acknowledgment of conflict, process and social character as inherent aspects of peace it becomes possible to understand the role that museums can perform in its construction. The insertion of museological thought in a philosophical and political framework turns possible the analysis of the relations between Museum and Peace, emphasizing the Peace Museum idea as an ethical proposal.
