AbstractThis article aims to outline the main results achieved in an ongoing empirical research focused on the spatial distribution of selective cultural/creative commercial offering located in downtown of Porto, more concretely, the Miguel Bombarda Quarter. Specifying better, we intend to discuss how the clustering of market niches, often driven by “new cultural intermediaries” can promote physical, socio-economic reconfiguration and change the identity of space, leading ultimately to processes of commercial gentrification and aesthetics of the urban context.
