Convergências e divergências na representação da cidade para “todos”: a visão dos políticos, dos técnicos e dos cidadãos
AbstractCities are planned by a selection of “citizens”: technicians and politicians. These two groups do not correspond to social and cultural city population diversity, men and women in the same gender proportion, with dissimilar incomes, cultural perspectives and lifestyles, jobs, educational background, etc. It is recognized the social and cultural gap between architects and further social groups, and among the cultural elites and the popular class. The city for “all” implies respect for diversity. It is important to understand if each group representation converge or diverge in order to respect their needs and aspirations. Ignoring the social diversity and multiplicity, promotes cities that reproduce the ideology of the minorities from those who have access to decision-making.
