#Abstract
In this article we intend to specify the modus operandi of an association that promotes Fair Trade, based in Oporto. By analyzing this association’s organizational structure, and by analyzing the speeches of its leaders, we aim to account for the interactive dimensions of social relationships within the organization, as well as representations of their players. The analysis model developed leads, initially, to the context of late modernity and global economy, which is characteristic of modern societies, and the emergence of new social movements, whose genesis lies in the context of societal change, and that is the background of the social movements within Fairtrade emerged.
