#Abstract
This paper presents the production conditions of feminist art in the Russian context, as well it identifies some of the mechanisms that difficult visibility for women artists. It raises some of the strategies, criteria and intentions of the artists to achieve gender equality within and outside the artistic field. This study also focus on the reception practices of the publics that visited the exhibition of feminist art held in MMOMA: it presents its social composition, the motivations of the visits, their aesthetic taste, and ways of articulating comments (potentially generating and evoking gender issues) from the artworks they selected.
