#Abstract
As being apart from the frequent contact with certain groups or contexts, build, often the same images on the basis of information that comes to us daily through the media. In fact, media´s social influence regarding society and also the “other” seems undeniable. Therefore, the media can play a vital educational role as privileged intermediate between society in general and some minority groups contributing, among many aspects, to a less stereotyped view of them. This work is a critical review about media and disability over the years.
