AbstractThe RVCC process, the promotion of Family Literacy and Schooling Exploratory Study in the CNO This article aims to give the main achievements of the 1st part of phase 1 of the research project “CNO: A Double Opportunity: Promoting Family Literacy and Children’s School Success.” It is presented a summary of the obtained data of an exploratory study on the impact that the RVCC frequency had on family and professional life of the students, monitoring of their children school life, as well as promoting family literacy through new representations and practices of reading and writing. This study has an empirical scope and sought to understand how the RVCC process influences the adults perceptions in what concerns to the educational process, enhancing the development of family literacy and its implications for the children schooling path at the beginning of the 1st cycle of basic education.
