#Abstract
As it can be apprehended by this work's title, it resulted on the gathering of the first conclusions collected from the research study presently being carried on. These first results may suggest the existence of a reasonably dynamic cultural life in the city of Oporto, during the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century, specially centred on the economically and socially predominant classes, and specifically, the influential canons and abbots from the city.
