#Abstract
Based on some of Maria de Àgreda writings, particularly her correspondance with King Felipe IV and the introductory notes to the books of the Mística ciudad de Dios, this texts analysis the factors which influenced the 17 th century re-emergence of mystical literature written by women, the strategies of authorship and the processes of authorization (God and the confessor) involved in the mystical discourse.
