#Abstract
The article analyses this poetic biography of Saint Isabel taking into account the reasons why it was written, its inclusion in the literary tradition around the figure of the Holy Queen, and the special features of her spiritual portrait sketched in the text. It also deals with aspects regarding the literary construction of this narrative text translated into an epic model and covered with lyrical effusions framed by devotional attitudes and a spirituality line prevailing at that time.
