Rogelio Ponce de León Romeo, Portuguese grammaticography in illustrated Spain: brief considerations on Acento y arti? cio gramatical de la lengua portuguesa (1795) by Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro This article analyses from several angles the Acento y arti?cio gramatical de la lengua portuguesa, included in the second volume of the Escuela española de sordomudos (Madrid 1795), written by the Jesuit Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro. Th e Acento y arti? cio gramatical is one of the ?rst Spanish metagrammatical texts, which has been practically ignored in linguistic historiography.
