El pasado y la memoria como fuentes de moral en La Cabeza de Cordero, de Francisco Ayala
Fernando Larraz
File (.pdf)
AbstractFrancisco Ayala’s short story, «La cabeza del cordero», describes the uneasy relationship between the narrator José Torres and his memory, filled with a deep guilt complex inherited and resulting from his own actions. This paper describes how Torres views history through the eyes of morality, thus justifying his opportunistic and cynical behaviour during the war. The study also analyses how this moral concept is represented in the narrative discourse.
