Resume
El mundo como representación y voluntad en don Quijote de La Mancha
Ángel García Galiano
File (.pdf)
AbstractThis paper analysis Don Quixote’s literary will (and conscience?) to transform reality. Using the language and the mechanisms of his memory, Don Quixote represents his world composed by different realities, which, to some extent, can be related to the transformations and experiences described by Ignatius Loyola or Teresa of Jesus (real experiences in their cases). From Erasmus to Shopenhauer, there is a number of studies about this forged "madness", product of Alonso Quijano’s will to be a different person, becoming Don Quixote and creating himself as a new god.
