Análisis de las relaciones temáticas entre las obras de Federico García Lorca : Viaje a la luna y El público
Pilar Nicolás Martínez
File (.pdf)
AbstractThis paper is a comparative study of the themes found in two works of Federico García Lorca from his New York period: the film script Viaje a la luna and the play El público. Firstly, the study analysis Lorca’s life and work, followed by comments of each work. The central part is an analysis of the thematic coincidences found in both texts, based on different aspects: the reference to the city of New York; the symbolic use of concepts such as the disguise and mask, or the graves and sepulchres as elements which Lorca uses to expose his opinions about the theatre and the creation; violence, sex and love to express the human relationships, and, finally, the recurrent symbolical figures related to the fish, the knife and the moon.
