AbstractThis: paper aims to study the latiin concepts of camis and inoarnatio developed in the «Sermo Dominica XIII post Peniteeosten» of saint Anthony of Lisbon (XIII th. c.). From the interpretation of this 'quaestio de homine' an hermeneutic and metaphysical problem emerged in wfch the incarnation of Christ, his bodily nature, and the Grace (with its psychological, metaphysical, moral and anagogic effects as well as its ontological presence) were seen as keystones to read the human fate towards redemption. Because of Anthony's 'pictorial* defence of this thesis one can conclude that he is asserting that the body not possessing the ultimate sense is however the emerging place of sense.
