A liberdade e o medo : para uma sistematização do pensamento de Fromm
Carlos Reis
File (.pdf)
AbstractConsciousness is the first rudiment of civilization, marking a potential difference between Man and the World. This moment implies the rupture with any possible meaning inside the natural quotidian. Heborned drama in every individual inside the element of culture — such amplified consciousness. And it is precisely the existential polarity of consciousness face to insanity, that modern positivisms try to reduce to the «observable phenomenon)), causing the receding of meditation about huma problems, in the emulous of the so called positive sciences. Positivisms exempted themselves from facing that radical perplexity that the absurd of life represents; they gave up carrying the weight of conscious¬ness; the same stone of Sisiphus. Human essence vanishes. Howhever, who asks for it a for the heart of an oyster? This is the false problem to wich some have been trying to reduce Humanisms* They do nothing else but to assume the radical fulcrum of human condition. If one do not try to thing existence it w'ont be possible to think the living Man. We should not succumb to growing disanthropomorphization on scientific ground; at least in this ambit, because we can not do that with impunity to Man itself. A convinient arsenal of categories to meditate upon human subjects is necessary. Erich Fromm tried it with his own five fundamental needs derived from human condition. Among them some saliency is due to the needs of Trans¬cendency and of an Orientation Structure. We tried tio delineate the theoretical coordination of his main theses, in the case, referring them to their epicentre: the productive relation. We have previously presented the parameters of the Autho's theories, since his marxism dialoguing — with Freud, from where results an encounter with ideology and the infra-ego allowing the object of a social pathology. And ever his own existentialism, that makes him talk of an onto-historical essence of human being — alienation is nothing else than Man with his back turned to his own existence.
