#Abstract
The aim of this article is to contribute to the analysis of the clandestine housing, those which are built without any licences (allotment and building), and it is based on the study of two clandestine quarters of the Vila Nova de Gaia's «concelho». The present paper tries to summarize the main aspects concerning those clandestine quarters formation processes and their resident population.
