#Abstract
The contact between the Western Meso-cenozoic Portuguese basin and the Tejo-Sado Terciary basin, from Carregado to Ota is a flexure. Along this flexure lies de Ota depression, on the Terciary basin and the Alenquer-Merceana hills on the Western-cenezoic Portuguese basin. The study of the morphostructural conditions in this area enabled the identification of the main factors of the hillslope evolution and the occurrence of the flash-floods in Alenquer, as well as the zoning of the natural hazards.
