#Abstract
In order to understand the territory of Baltar it is necessary to study the way of life of the local population and also to recognize the relations established between the population and the space it occupies. Our aim is to explain the organization of the study área, thereby emphasizing the rapid changes that have been taking place, the factors that have determined them as well as the effects in the environment. The major issues are the impact of the human activities in the environment and the measures taken to minimize it. Finally, some strategies for the development of the área are presented.
