Uma dupla direcção da escrita em Daniel Defoe : The Father Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, ou alguns bons ensinamentos da má literatura
AbstractWith the help of some concepts developed by T. S. Eliot and George Lukacs on the subject of the evaluation of a work of art, the A. argues that the aesthetic failure in The Farther Adventures... is the result of a predominance of ideological patterns over creative imagination. This interpretation intends to provide a basis for a better appraisal of Defoe's major works, as well as for a further evaluation of that author's role in the context of the wider question of the rise of the novel.
