#Abstract
This article attempts the comparative analysis of the 'mythographs' of the "Gardens of Delights" present in the texts Adão e Eva (1885), by Machado de Assis, and Adão e Eva no Paraíso (1896), by Eça de Queirós. Although their point of departure is the same — the narrative of Génesis - both Eça and Machado 'mythograph' in different ways, thereby creating autonomous texts which are related on a hyper-textual level.
