#Abstract
The textile industry of Vale do Ave Flax historical tradition was decisive to outline the main ideas of cotton industry implantation as well as it was before to generate working cultures in Vale do Ave textile industry. With the preponderance of cotton transformation, Vale do Ave, for its structural characteristics and industrial potentialities, has constituted an attraction pole of enterprising initiatives and finance which led to a diffuse industrial location, in wich streams traced out manufactory implantation. Characterized by a mono-specialization, manager debility, and deep working class feminisation, this cotton-manufacturer centre however, has been assuming a top position in terms of richness’production and generation of working opportunities.
