Patronage and workers composition in Vale do Ave A historical view of the difficult relation between the patronage and workers in Vale do Ave is provided starting from the scarce existing undertake and local research work. This being the case, some ideas are presented such as the development effect of the rural regions industrialization upon the urbane industry, the social legislation, the patronages’association part, the fugacious actions of the industry paternalism, the working part struggle and their configurations in Vale do Ave.
