Sociologia: Revista da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto accepts texts of many types: articles, book reviews, research notes and bibliographical essays.
The texts may be submitted in Portuguese, French, Spanish and English.
The texts submitted must be original and have not been published, regardless it’s form of presentation.
The texts will be subject to an evaluation process with the following steps:
Step 1 - the editor will carry out an initial evaluation that will take into account the pertinence of the text to the editorial line, its scientific quality and the full compliance with the formal rules of presentation. The text will be rejected immediately if not evaluated positively or it will move on to the next phase;
Step 2 - the editor invites two experts on the subject of the text to evaluate it on a double anonymity basis;
Step 3 - the evaluations of the specialists and the editor will be communicated to the author(s), requesting their analysis. Evaluations may not be accepted by the author(s), who must justify their refused. The new version of the article will be sent back to the evaluators;
Step 4 - the final evaluation determine if the text will be published or not.
The evaluation process will be confidential.
