#Abstract
The enjoyment of cultural heritage is a universal privilege, which implies the responsibility to safeguard it for the delight of future generations. Given the diversity of its materials and geo-functional contexts, it becomes essential to plan and act in order to determine their vulnerability to emergencies, adopting an integrated risk management strategy. Regarding the museum universe, this strategy will have to take into account the composition and good performance of trained teams, who protect not only their visitors as well as their collections. After the discussion of concepts and presentation of different perspectives, the approach focuses in more detail in the emergency and its integrate management phases.
