AbstractThe society and its development is the purpose of museums, therefore heritage mediation and evaluation are realities that cannot be dissociated from policies and museological practices. The research developed focused on the project "See, Touch and Feel Maia", which assumes itself as an interface between different learning contexts and different institutional realities to educate, in schools, for heritage and museums. This article describes the development of the research project and presents, from the perspective of students and teachers who participated in the project, the results, particularly in terms of learning, highlighting the potential of heritage mediation and nonformal educational institutions in the transformation of individuals and the consequent need to create spaces to think and to discuss the policies and practices to adopt in the future.
