#Abstract
The scenario of participation in the life of those complete the research as a researcher and researched is the backwoods of Apodi Territory, located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, whose empirical choice was motivated by strong presence and participation of social movements in the field. Thus, the object of our investigation will be the space of decision-making and institutional organization of land through action group of the Territory of the backwoods of Apodi. It is in this sense that the country can be seen in a positive way, able to motivate local and regional emergence of new opportunities and endogenous development. In particular, we discuss the possibilities of participation in favor of the social recognition of social rural stakeholders, as well as decision making, tensions, limits, vulnerabilities and ambiguities in rural areas.
