AbstractThe stage that develops and that report was the presentation of communication background in the X International Conference "main issues of the European Research Area", was intended to try to show the importance of applying new teaching methodologies in order to provide young students significant and consolidated learning on a variety of issues. Thus the centrally located a approaches this report relate to the constructivist approach to education, in order to provide students the opportunity to develop their own learning based on their exploration of the sources of knowledge with teaching a more passive role in classroom. On another hand, and through the application of a case study, we wanted to provide students contact with new tools that would promote the consolidation of learning and serve as liaison with investigative methodologies used in the social sciences and humanities. This direction were formulated strategies for teaching and learning that have been applied in two classes, throughout the school year 2013/2014 under the Supervised Teaching Practice, an integral component of the Master of Education in History and Geography of the 3rd Cycle school education. Through the development of activities for the students, we conclude that the realization of this kind of activity, with a more practical side, present numerous advantages both for students and teachers, and to develop social skills relatively specific disciplines in question, in this case history and Geography, and the inherent diversity of resources and strategies applied.
