#Abstract
The relationship between philosophy and poetry comes from afar. In other words, philosophy opposed to poetry and literature, but never got separated from them. However, rationality invaded thought for millennia, with the twentieth century trying to restore and deepen the poetic saying in which philosophy originated. This reflection animated, with some originality, Portuguese thought in the twentieth century, figuring among its greatest theorists Leonardo Coimbra (1883-1936) Teixeira de Pascoaes (1877-1952), Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935), Amorim de Carvalho (1904-1976), Delfim Santos (1907-1966), among others. It is this matter and this lineage that I will deal with.
