#Abstract
This "lubricious” portrait of Cesario's, a realist poet, and Pessanha, a symbolist one, come together in the flourishing dynamism of the modernist aesthetic which, in the plural, shocking and provocative, was to drink to two men, near themselves, the irreverence of words, the images of a “city-woman”, which left, in turn, marks in the poetry of Mário de Sá Carneiro and Fernando Pessoa, two of the greatest exponents of Portuguese Modernity literature. This is thus an attempt to approach two poets who lived distant and who, prior to feminine emancipation, created sensual and even lascivious physical sketches of their figure.
