#Abstract
We consider Macao Literature in Portuguese all those texts in this language that show the reality of Macau. Its spirit and its culture that have been written by people who were born in Macau or by Portuguese speaking authors. We also include some authors who have been in Macau for a short time but use Macau as the scenario for their stories or have Macau people as leading characters. We will consider texts the main characters of which are women who lived under the rule of a law or a moral that conditions their lives and limits their freedom in a world that follows a kind of philosophy that ignores the most elementary women’s rights. The authors that we will consider are Deolinda da Conceição, the very first Macanese fiction writer, and Henrique Senna Fernandes another Macanese fiction writer in Portuguese and Maria Ondina Braga
