#Abstract
This essay intends to reflect on the imaginary and representation of Brazil in Leonardo Coimbra, problematizing, on the one hand, this area of study, which in the last decades has witnessed a considerable impulse, and, on the other hand, to deepen the author 's effective cultural relations with the Brazilian intelligentsia. The Renascença Portuguesa’s thinker constructs a utopian hermeneutics of the lands of Vera Cruz, in its geographic, historical and social configuration, while contributing, as a cultural agent, to an effective Portuguese- Brazilian approach.
